Hi everyone, As some of you know, I’ve recently moved to the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, and I am actively searching for a postdoc, graduate students, and a technician to join my new lab.
We’re spatial ecologists who work on a variety of questions, but I’m particularly hoping that some of you on this list might know people who would be interested in developing machine learning approaches to identify the species of birds and bats that are present in field recordings. Particularly for the technician position, but even for the graduate students, I would be very happy to receive applications from folks with a background in math/stats, CS, or a related field and who have an interest in applying their skills to an important ecological problem. Ads are all posted below - please feel free to circulate, and of course to get in touch with any questions. http://www.kitzeslab.org/postdoc-position-in-spatial-ecology/ http://www.kitzeslab.org/phd-positions-in-spatial-ecology/ https://www.pittsource.com/postings/148476 Thanks all, and apologies for the not-exactly-SWC-related email.
