Hi all I just posted this to Maintainers but thought it might be of interest to those of you who are not on that list:
Data Carpentry will release new curricula for working with Geospatial and Social Sciences data during 2018. To get ready, there is a call to action for people who would like to be involved. There are many ways to contribute, ranging from helping edit existing lesson drafts, to running pilot workshops, to serving as a Maintainer for the completed lessons. Data Carpentry are also setting up Curriculum Advisory Committees for both sets of lessons. Members of these Committees will help ensure thelessons stay up-to-date and continue to serve the needs of our learners.
