Hi all,

During the past week, a group of like-minded people gathered at the TIB in
Hannover for a book sprint, with the ultimate goal of creating an open, living
handbook on Open Science training. And after 5 (longish) days of coffee-fueled
writing, I’m happy to report that: goal achieved!

The first draft of the Open Science Training Handbook is out for comments, and
we will really appreciate any feedback or comments from within this community.
You can access the different chapters via this link http://owl.li/NbL530irxgK –
you may also see some influence of “The Carpentries way” here and there… 😉 All
documents are open for comment until March 4th, 2018, at which point we will
proceed in addressing the comments received and moving everything into GitHub
pages as version 1.0.

Oh, and the Open Science Training Handbook is an Open Educational Resource, and
will therefore be made available under Creative Commons Public Domain
Dedication (CC0 1.0 Universal).

Cheers!
