Felienne Hermans (whose work on code phonology was recently mentioned
here) sent me a pointer to:
@article{Koehler2013,
author = {Matthew J. Koehler and Punya Mishra and William Cain},
title = {What is Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK)?},
journal = {Journal of Education},
volume = {193},
number = {3},
pages = {13-19},
year = {2013},
doi = {10.1177/002205741319300303}
}
which is a brief summary of a framework that adds "technology knowledge"
to "general pedagogical knowledge" and "domain-specific content
knowledge". I found it thought-provoking, and hope others on this list
will as well. I'd be particularly interested in hearing people's
thoughts about what happens to teaching when technology knowledge
overlaps with content knowledge.
Cheers,
Greg
p.s. Elizabeth Patitsas' latest post
https://patitsas.blogspot.ca/2018/03/spoons-are-form-of-capital.html has
also got me thinking about what and how we teach…
