Actually, yes I would, if possible. But for other reasons that are even more understandable to the "business". Their working conditions are just the icing on a very bad cake. Oracle DB software is too expensive, their sales people are often thugs, their software quality is lacking, their track record on security issues is well known and in general, they are a pain to deal with. Those have all been problems since well before the Sun acquisition; it's not a new phenomena. We have a few ex-Oracle people around, so we know the working conditions. Our developers are making big pushes into mySQL where possible, and even re-architecting middleware so that someday we won't need Oracle RAC. They are looking at non-SQL databases as well. Anything but Oracle.
