Hey y'all,
So, I'm interested to try the workaround for the busy thing in
skype--this is a problem I've had as well, so glad someone found a
possible solution.
Anyone interested in trying out another one?

It's based on open standards and looks fairly accessible, with the
exception of a couple unlabeled buttons. That's something that
should be easily enough fixable.
Here's the bad news: there's one of those all-too-pervasive Turing
tests. The only way round that at present is to go to the support
link and submit a trouble ticket and ask that your account be set
up manually because you're blind and can't pass the Turing test.
(The support guy says they're working on that.) Anyway; just give
support your Email address and a username of eight characters or
more, and you'll be set up in the next couple days after.
Besides a Gizmo ID, Gizmo also gives you a SIPPhone number (because
it's the same people) so that people from, say, Free World Dialup
and other similar services, can call you as well; also, ther's a
conference bridge available that can be called from a regular
landline phone as well as from Gizmo. Another list seems to
indicate that Skype2 is so far inaccessible, at least on the PC
side, so this may be another option for us.
BTW, my Skype username ks kb5elv and my Gizmo ID is buddybrannan.
