Hi Justin: If your in California, you should check out Sensory Access Foundation (SAF). They do student computer evaluations, and make recommendations based on your needs, to the Department of Rehabilitation. If you could prove to SAF that a Mac is the best solution for your needs, and they recommend a Mac with Tiger, you will get one. I use to work there as an Access Technology Specialist, and know that the director of that organization loves the Mac. Because SAF has a Case Services Contract (CSC) with DOR for the state of California, Dor relies a lot on SAF to make recommendations for their clients.
