I am a user of the Bank of America site and prefer the way it reads on the Mac to the PC. Things are easier to find and there isn't so much clutter. Grouping items will help you quite a bit. Yes, it's sometimes cumbersome to constantly interact with a group but you get used to it and the way the page is rendered on the Mac is worth the effort. I also would like to address the comparison issue. I will be instructing one of my associates on the Mac so that he in tern will be able to teach his client. My first words to him will be you've never seen a talking computer before. I teach both Jaws and Window-eyes and although they are the standard they both operate very similarly in the concepts of the operating system. The Mac is a completely different system and it's screen reader has been designed from the ground up and integrated in to the os. It is a part of the system and can't be removed. Therefore, the approach is going to be very different. I do agree access is the key and that's why although I love the Mac there are some things that aren't available for it yet so I do use my pc and also need to keep current since I am an instructor. However, things are changing and Mac developers desire to comply with Apple's standards. I believe that if we give it the full year: (Tiger came out in 04-29-05 when I bought my PowerBook) some miraculous things will be in place. Take a look at how much people are already doing with the Mac now. Okay! and I have to admit that carrying around a 12inch powerbook is just Cool!nice! excellent and simply a wonderful tool to have.
