You can do this with an apple script. It's just made for things like
this. Give me some time, and I'll send you a script. I do need the
mp3 plug-in though, I don't have it, where can it be obtained?
I have audacity already, and found it sadly lacking in voice over
accessibility, so tossed it out and went to audio hijack, but I'll
fire it up again to get your script.

I haven't found it yet, but you can download audacity, install the
MP3 framework where it needs to go, load the .aiff files into
audacity and out comes an MP3 file. Takles a little bit, but it
works. I do this with all my files I make from books2burn.
What I need, and maybe someone can help with this, is a batch
converter. II want to find *all* my .aiff files and load them at
once and have them come out as mp3s. Can do it with GoldWave on my
Windows machine, but I want to be able to do it ont he Mac. Less
having to move stuff around.

Hello,
I've been playing around with AudioHijack and I am seriously
considering purchasing it. It works like a charm.
However, I have a question.
Perhaps I missed it, but is there any way to change from .AIFF to
say MP3 at a given bitrate?
