For a DVD ripper, take a look at MacTheRipper. It's free and quite
accessible, though you may have trouble finding it to download as the
software is currently being threatened by the media industry,
specifically Macrovision. I don't condone illegal DVD copying but, if
you need this app, I'd be more than happy to send the .dmg file to
anyone who wants it, given that I believe the software itself is
perfectly ethical provided you use it for ethical purposes. It
doesn't burn, however, you'll need another app for that and, given
that I don't have a Mac with a DVD burner yet, (my iBook can only
burn CDs) I haven't been able to test any of the apps for that.
