Cheryl and all,
copy your mail.plist somewhere, delete it from its folder and
relaunch mail. If it works, your window will be restored.

I messed around with moving and resizing the window with vo-tilde and
vo-accent and then arrowing and escape to quit. Now my messages stay
unread, but I can't find my messages. when I go to the message text
scroll area and interact with body and headers, it's blank. I can
still read the message, however, by using f13, which I've chosen as
my function key for reading selected text.
