Hi
That's a good idea, though I think of limited use right now, as there isn't all that many settings that need to be changed on a per- application basis, imho. But it would be nice to have this in place so that when it winds up being needed in the future it is already there.

Hi,
Yep, ya got it.
But of course it isn't hard to go in to the VO menu and make changes if you like. In fact one of the nice things about VO is that it is easy to flip switches and at this time, it doesn't have that many changes to make that it takes for ever like in some other screen readers installed on other platforms. I just mentioned this as an idea, because I am kind of thinking ahead to the days when VO will be even better and as it now is, it's already one heck of a fantastic interface.

I realize I am drawing a JAWS comparison here, but that's kind of what you are after, right? You want to set up VO one way for Mail, another for Safari, another for say Journal, and have the individual configurations stick, correct? If that's what you mean, go for it.

Hi everyone,
I am going to make this suggestion to the folks at apple.
It would really be nice if there was a way to have VO recognize different applications. So that you could adjust VO and when it sees that you are in Mail, Safari, Calculator and such it would use the settings you have set for that application. I am going to make this suggestion, but first I wanted to see what everyone else thought.
