You can get the apple script programmming guide at apple's web site. I'd have to look up the exact address, but if you go to developer.apple.com, you should be able to navigate to it. Let me know if you can't find it, and I'll go hunt it down for you. It's about 415 pages, and has a lot of examples in it. They're not always the easiest to understand or work with, but they do demonstrate quite well the power and flexibility of apple script.
