I've tried all the suggestions that are on here about making real
player the default on my mac. and its not happening. its not cool. I
am tired of itunes starting on mp3 and playlists for shoutcasts and
things.

When you are a file type that you owant RealPlayer to be the
default for, go into it's information with command I.
As a side note, someone tell me how turn off italics, please? I
may have accidentally turned them on in this message.
Anyhow, go to the open with trangle and expand it. Choose
RealPlayer as the application you want to open it. Hit OK., I
*think*. Then it's done. I have RealPlayer as my default for all
files that I can play with it on the Mac, because I too don't like
iTunes, yet. Now, if I can find those AppleScripts that someone
talked about, I may change my mind. Never did get that link. Oh
well., :)

I am happy to announce, that I am writing this email using my
(new, to me) dual g4 533, with 768 of ram. And I got to tell you,
its great!!!!! espeally compared compared to the g3 300 with 384
ram that I was using.
Got to admit though, I'm still experiencing the issue of finder
being busy when trying to access a shared folder using samba on a
windows box. but I could access my g3 300 just fine with no problems.
Does anyone know how to get rid of itunes, or to deffinetly make
real player the referred playerr for all? cause I hate itunes.
