Yes that is a problem, some sort of fail-safe means would be
necessary to prevent the mess I had gotten into. I think bluetooth
headphones and such is a grand idea, but I guess we'd have to get
Apple to consider some means of "fast switching" audio sources. Ay I
wonder if this is possible with the Imic. I'm not sure what all the
Imic can do, but is it possible to use the Imic to control via
hadware the method of output for audio sources?

But also, just in regard to switching sound output in general,
having to go into System Prefs to change it is a real problem.
