I can't say much on the point of connecting a printer to the router itself, but I know I'm doing printer sharing from my Imac now. My wife prints to my Mac from her's. I have a Linksys running OpenWrt firmware so never tried the Apple routers. I'd say most printers probably would be ok at least on the machine itself. My HP6122 was detected and configured without the printer's software.
good luck,

Scott

I'm considering getting a usb bluetooth module for my daughter's computer instead of having it opened up. I know they can work with apple but I'm wondering whether something shows up in system Preferences or how you control your settings. Having bought a usb- serial cable for whose driver I had to search for hours, and having bought a pair of bluetooth headphones I'll probably have to return, I'd like to have some idea how difficult this is going to be. I also am looking into getting a usb printer; I want to be able to plug it into the usb port on my Airport Extreme and use printer sharing. Does anybody know of any pitfalls of which I should be aware in choosing a printer?

Thanks.
