Interesting. Never knew they had an accessible version of their
sighht. The reason I refuse to use them is because one time I was
hunting for something, I had a direct link to the item, that someone
else had sent me after I'd already spent nearly 2 hours trying to
find the silly thing myself. Even with the direct link, it still
took me half an hour to find the silly item because of the design of
the sight. I'll try this accessible version, and see what if
anything it does to assist with this sort of thing.

Just a side note, if you're choosing not to use Amazon because
of how spammy their site is for a person using a screen reader, try
the following "accessible" version of Amazon:
httP://www.amazon.com/access

I know voice over works with net flix, since I use it. It also
works with amazon (though I refuse to use that site myself) as
well as google, yahoo, and various other search engines. I don't
think your friend will have any trouble, but if so, dropping
messages here generally gets responses.

Hi all
I am working as an assistant for a partially-sighted new Mac
user. She is on
vacation right now, and asked me to put this question to you in
hopes of
getting some sort of help. We have noticed that VoiceOver is
currently
unable to recognize or interact with Macromedia Flash content.
What we are
currently trying to figure out is whether this will be a
critical issue in
browsing the web. She uses the computer for word processing,
email, and
browsing the web. The websites she tends to visit are Google,
Amazon,
Safeway.com, Netflix, and various government and travel-related
agencies.
Thank you in advance,
Yoshi
