Put like that, your comments are logical and, as far as I can see,
correct. I guess it's probably true to say that maybe I took your
"Various Voices" comment a little too literally.

I never claimed the apple voices had been changed, I was merely
pointing out that voice over has more parts to it than just the voice
over utility we can see in the applications folder. I would expect
people to draw comparable conclusions as to just how many parts there
might be in voiceover, and realize that there are pieces we cannot
and likely will never see or know about. I cannot give an exhaustive
list, since I am not part of apple (not for lack of trying) and even
if I could, a lot of it I'm sure would make absolutely no sense to
those on the list who are not programmers. I apologize for any
confusion, I was merely trying to plant the idea that vo has many
parts, and we are not likely to see any and all changes that are made
to voiceover if the changes are in one of the pieces that don't
directly impact our vo experience.
