has anyone been successful activating links in an html email?

I recieve allot of emails that are html, and they read like html  
links and all. but when I want to activate a link, I vo keys and  
space on it and I vo keys and shift and spacebar on it and still get  
nothing. I can't copy and paste the link either because they are  
links which say click here for more etc. any ideas?
