Before I get involved with VLC there is a question I have concerning
your post.
You said, "...
The vlc playlist can be saved as a .m3u file. Then you can open it
in text edit for instance, by going to therminal and typing:
open -e Desktop/vlc01.m3u
or whatever you named it..."
Why is it not possible to open VLC using command+o, then working
within the dialog? Why is it necessary to go through Terminal? Or,
why could one not use Spotlight if they so desired, then simply press
return on the selection?
