Don't feel bad. The computer always kicks my butt too. I'm getting better though, I actually managed to get thhe computer down to less than 5 pieces yesterday before it backed my king and remaining bishop into a corner I couldn't get out of. I would like to suggest to those who like chess to play the suicide version too, it's very amusing. Frustrating as hell, but very amusing. I've not (yet) figured out what the rules are for the third variant the game has in it.Crazy house. Anyone have any ideas? But, to answer your question, There are some sites online to find chess tricks/tips, but I've never been very good at remembering them either. My end game is very strong, but the rest of my game is mediocre at best.

To move a piece, first click on the piece you want to move, then go to the square you want it to land on, then click that spot. The piece will move, and then the computer will take its move, and anounce it using the default system speech.

I just canot seem to figure out how to make the pieces move. Oh I can move around the board and hear what's where, but I can't seem to move the pieces where I want them to go either using my voice or just moving them. I guess I am doing something wrong.

Scott, I hope to talk with someone from Draconis Entertainment, concerning my own interest in this company developing games for the Mac. They do have some games developed for the Mac that work well with VoiceOver--not Draconis, but several companies. One game I'd like to get is the Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf game for the Mac computer. As I understand, it is VoiceOver- compatible, and it costs $49.95. Chess already comes with VoiceOver, but I am not a chess player, as yet, though I am learning.
