Just use the file open option once text edit is loaded.
M3u files are considered multimedia files, so you can't make text edit open them by default.

I am trying to figure out how to get my playlist file to open in textEdit. When I got down to open with, it doesn't show up as an option. When I try to fix it so that I can use TextEdit as an option, it won't work. How do I fix this? Or is there another way to edit it? Or do I have to rebuild the playlist whenever I add new songs?
