This is a third party distributed by Apple. It has been around for
quite a while.
You can use its installer, or you can build your own install and you
can work with the engine from terminal mode, however, I have not done
this so far, but I plan to see how things go from that direction.

If you are interested, you can find it from the Apple Menu, Mac OS X
Software. In the edit field type, Clamxav and press enter. Then after
you locate Clamxav, click the link and go to the download link, its
around 6.1 or 2 MB I think.
It appears to work real well and I like some of its features.
Note, According to the documentation and also according to the
information just above the download link, at this point, it is not to
be used on Mac OS X 4.3 and above Servers.
