Dan, that 2VO mouse option could be causing the problem and maybe having that checked all the time could be having some negative affects on navigating. Yeah, my wife's Mini never seems to speed up so there must be something different with the IMac or it just runs warmer which would make sense.

Hi, On the what to scan button, where it says documents, I use space bar or VO keys space bar to open the check boxes and arrow to my hard drive and press space to check it. Then I VO over to Open. It will actually close this window. But you will now hear your sellection in the what to scan. Just press the scan button and away you go. While it's scanning, VO to the Right and you will find the list of what is being checked this field clicks while the activity is taking place. If you VO over to the right 2 more times you will find the percentage done or if it is done it will show 100 percent. VO over to the right 1 or 2 more times and you will hear the report read rather nicely to you. Just a note. I have unchecked the two VO Mouse options under Navigation in the VO menu. I am using a Mac mini and while Clamxa is running, I never have a fan increase. In fact so far the only time my fan has sped up is while I am playing chess with the computer.
