Hey folks, just wanted to ask a question on this unit. Well I guess I  
was expecting a bit more, but was disappointed in the units receiving  
abilities. It was rather depressing and I know its environment has a  
great deal to do with it, but well Guess I was hoping it could do  
better. I had some plans, but well to bad.
The question is there is a jack in the rear just above where the usb  
cable goes into the device. My buddy and I were mucking about with it  
and he looked and found no reference to it in the manual. Is this  
jack for an external antenna? I didn't think so being as I tried one  
that came with my shortwave receiver and figured it might help with  
am reception, but no dice. I'm not sure how far usb cables can be  
extended, but perhaps my only hope is to move the thing out of my  
office which doesn't have windows and has to much noise from the  
computers and router in here. Yeah I know that contributes to the  
poor signal, but I guess if it had a telescoping antenna it would  
have a much better chance. Will say the software is pretty friendly  
as far as I could tell. It also seemed to me the usb cable is a part  
of the antenna, but maybe I'm wrong. Its a neat item and has some  
potential uses if I could get the reception problem resolved, but  
well can't put a window in so an external antenna of some sort is my  
only real hope.
