Hi Jane,
I found that opening the book marks menu in safari and choosing view
all book marks provides you with several buttons, new folder among
them. Bookmarks are selectable in the same way that other items are
selectable. For instance, if there are several in a row you want to
copy, just use shift with arrows up or down and highlight/select
them, copy them to the clip board, find the folder you want to place
them in or create it, open that folder and press command-v to paste
them in.
