Aren't they just passworded zip files? Or did bookshare develop their own
format?

Yes, if there's a Mac version of the unpack tool, as I think there is, you
just download it and use it.

In order to download books from bookshare, one must download a program to
decript the files. How would you do this with OSX? Could you just
download that same program and have it work?
