Try using Shift-Ctrl-Opt-Up Arrow to "Stop Interacting with HTMl Content" and then try using Ctrl-Opt-A to read the text.

Another thing you could try is ldooking at the Raw Source of the
message.
This is a little painful, but it should work or at least give you a
clue as to what's wrong with the message.
