Hi all, And first may I take time to thank everyone who has so far given their thoughts on my situation re the system preferences. I have tried everything suggested here and I even got a sighted user to use the mouse to click on the system preferences link but it just keeps opening up the hard drive folder instead of what it is supposed to open. It is like the symbolic link to system preferences is broken.
