Mac Mini as Alarm

Hello.  I'm trying to use my Mac Mini as an alarm by using Cron.  The 
problem is that after long periods of time, the computer goes into 
sleep mode and the crontab doesn't get executed.  I looked in system 
preferences in Energy saver and I didn't see anything about stopping 
the computer from going into sleep mode.  Is there anywhere in system 
preferences to go to stop this behavior?
