Hi,
I would like to be able to transfer file back and forth between my
braille lite and my mac. I have a couple of questions relating to using
serial ports and transfer protocols.
First, as Cheryl had written, I can "cat file > /dev/cu.usbserial"
to an open file on the braille lite, and it works fine if serial port and
interactive are turned on on the braille lite. However, if I try to cat a
second file to the braille lite, the first line or so of the file is lost.
I have tried sending out an empty file first to clear the system, but the
result is the same. The only solution I have found is to unplug the USB
cable from the mac between each "cat". Does anyone know how to flush
whatever is wrong without unplugging the cable?
Second, I would also like to be able to transfer files to the mac
and to transfer batches of files. The braille lite will use the y-modem
protocol, but I have not found a terminal app to do this. I found another
terminal emulator called zterm which will do this, but it uses the
problematic dialogue from my last message to select files. So this has
not been very successful either. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
