Dennis, I use fire and what I do is turn off curser tracking with vokeysshift-f3, move the voiceover curser to the box that shows what the person has written and then when I type the vocurser stays in the right box. I then press vokeys-shift-end to move to thee bottom of the box where when the pling is heard the persons reply can be read. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Freedman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]>

Subject: Listening to conversation in Fire?

Hello
Having succe3ssfully set up Fire with my MSN account, I can type in
text in a conversation window and can read what someone's sent after
tabbing around and interacting with the edit text field, in effect
reading the history.
Is there a way of getting VoiceOver to speak the text that has just
been sent so you can carry on a conversation without having to become
a keyboard gymnast? :)
Any help welcomed on this.
I have not altered mouse cursor tracking etc from the defaults so far
as I am aware.
