Yes could do that, but I guess I was looking for a quick way to just feed the file to it directly without having to launch it, find the file, and then scan it. Ok being lazy perhaps, but what the heck you know?

You won't be able to add it to the File menu. There used to be a way, in OS 9, to add things to the Apple menu but I haven't seen that in Tiger yet. How about adding it to the Dock? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Howell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]>

Subject: adding Clamvx to the file menu

Yeah that subject says it all. I wonder if there is a way to add Clamavx to the file menu so I could just scan the currently selected file. I'm not sure if this could be done with a script, but any thoughts appreciated. I imagine I'd have to some how add the option to the file menu and not sure that would be possible, but I'm sure there's a way to do that as well.
