Well, I don't see the one you mention on the site. but I've played
two different .it files from the site with no problem. So I don't
know: maybe you had a corrupted file or maybe there was some
combination of things happening to cause the lockup. But I think we
can safely say that the cause doesn't have to do with vlc being
unable to play .it files per se. If you tried to open the file just
by clicking on it, it's possible some other application tried to open
it and that caused the lockup. I'm just guessing because I really
don't know.
