The problem is that while it does talk text, you can't use it alone to find the text you want read. And, interestingly enugh, it's screens are not vo friendly.

It wouldn't be accurate to call Proloquo a screen reader.  The quote

limited to Proloquo screens, perhaps only those set up for a student

touch screen) software.
