Yeah, I think the addition I am working on for the titles will let us see the extras on the disc, though I'm not sure if it will handle the additional scenes or not. I'll need to experiment a little. But, I'm working on it. If I can work out the alternative menu navigation, we'll have access to all that content the same way the sighted folks do, but I'm not holding my breath on that one, it's complicated, and may not work as I think it should. Will keep everyone posted.

Oh Travis,

This is wonderful. Now, there's also a features menu on many dvds and you probably know there's a scenes menu and one other one that I can't remembber is often there.

Ok, one more time. Got it now.
The softcon dvd player now has language support. Using the letter L (make sure it's capital) you can switch between the existing languages on the disk. This will work for any disc that has more than one language (most do). Hidden in the languages are options like: Video described audio, Director comments, and even close captioning, as well as actual alternate languages. For the one I have, (Cinderela man) The described vidio is the third language. Since by default it begins on the first one, you'll need to hit the L key twice to get at the described video. I hope this helps some of you. I wasn't even aware most dvds had the director comments and such on the dvds, so this is going to make a *lot* of my dvds fresh and new.
Once again, the link to download the softcon dvd player is at:

Enjoy, and do let me know what else you folks would like to see.
I'm actually working out an alternative system for accessing the menus. It still won't give us the names of the items we're selecting (I don't think) but it will allow you to watch exactly what you want.
