port forwarding

I'm trying to set airport up so that somebody can ssh in to one of my  
machines. I have port 22 as the public port and have chosen a private  
port; I've put all the info in the port mapping window in the Airport  
admin utility. I have the ip address by which the machines are  
connected to the internet. I have remote login enabled. But while I  
can ssh just fine within the network, I still have not been able to  
ssh from outside to the designated machine. Can somebody who has done  
this please help me figure out what I might be missing?
