Unfortunately, the reality is, and it's not organization specific entirely, is that there are a lot of people who are trashing Apple and the Mac for, let's just say, not necessarily honest reasons. Again, as much as this is not meant to bash anyone, but I have had conversations with people within the NFB and I can tell you that the resistance and lack of interest is driven by a motivation other than intellectual experience or the like. This is a reality of politics and money, folks, and it's not a reflection of the integrity of any organization overall. As others have pointed out, the same sort of things are occurring with ACB members, but I can also tell you that the ACB has been far more accepting and fair about VO and the Mac than the NFB has been. One cannot deny the relationship Freedom Scientific and other Windows oriented vendors do have with the blindness organizations and the roles that it plays. You're fooling yourself if you are going to chalk this off strictly as a bias towards any organization, as I am not a card carrying member for neither NFB nor ACB. I only call it as I hear it, and I'm sorry if it offends anyone.

I think its easy to get off track though and start making side comments about things. The original point of the discussion though as I saw it was an NFB article about VO. I think being able to discuss that is important.
