<smile>. Actually, there's a folder off the route directory of the
drive, (not the user's route), called Startup Items. I wonder if you
can put them there.

In the old days of OS 9, you could simply copy items to a Startup
Items folder but I haven't found that in OS X as of yet. if you have
these volumes in your dock, simply hit the down arrow when on the
item so that it brings up the Contextual menu. You can then choose
"Open at LogIn" and life will be good.
