Jane is right, you need to associate the ASF file with Windows Media Player
from your Applications folder, and trying to use the latest version of
RealPlayer for the Mac (10.0.0.352 according to versiontracker.com)
won't work. This seems to be increasingly true for sites that offer both
Windows Media Player and RealPlayer options.

I think that on some sites, like the New York Times multi-media sections,
will prompt you about which application you want to use, and then set
up the default to either Windows Media Player or RealPlayer for the ASF
file.
