Well not totally true. You could setup Speakup with software speech,
but the quesiton is if the Alsadrivers would work or if there are
some sound drivers that would work with the Mac's sound hardware. I
also wonder how difficult it would be to use a usb to serial adapter.
I bet not impossible, but might require a tweak to the SPeakup code.
What do I know, I break stuff not create it..grin
