is there a way to take a exsisting built computer keep the hd sound card case cdroms etc but replace the mother board and cpu to to turn a machine in to a intel mac? if so how much would that cost, or would that be more expensive then buying a intel mac directly?
thanks

Subject: my new Intel IMac

Folks, I just wanted to report a few things upon switching to my new IMac. First if you all recall my problems with a 7-port Belcon hub where I couldn't get the machine to sleep? Well amazingly enough even with the new IMac, I am experiencing the same problem, but the difference is that at least the machine does not go into a sleep and wake cycle; like a loop. It just goes to sleep and wakes up immediately. I am now very certain its Belcon's product that is the problem and I intend to let them know. Another interesting thing is I used disk target to move all my stuff from my IMac G5 to the new Intel IMac and there was no backup directory or anything whic I guess is what I should have expected, but what made that so interesting is that I did not have to reinstall my scanner driver. It just worked right off. Now I can't say this would be true with everything and I haven't tested every app, but that was pretty cool. I have noticed it is a bit faster and I ended up with more ram that I had intended, but that's ok. I know some don't like Intel, but not quite sure why, I got the box for a number of reasons and so far am very happy with it. Just thought I'd offer some comments for whatever they're worth.

Scott
