It is the fourth connection from the front of the Powerbook. You
need an adapter to use it.

I can't answer your first question but my Powerbook does have a
Mic input. The other jacks are Earphones, Video output, USB
Firewire, Dial out modem, Ethernet and Power. There is one more
that I don't know anything about. It may be a security lock.
