See, I told you I'd remember.
About 30 seconds after hitting send, and that nearly after 5 minutes of trying to remember before sending. <sigh> Anyhow, the mud base is called mordor, and it's a stand-alone mud, it's not based on diku, circle, rom, or anything of the sort. It's a fairly decent mud in and of itself, but one of the utilities that ships with it is muddle, the mud client.
Very simple and to the point.
I always liked it.
I'll see if I can get it to compile on OSX.
It can be found at nazgool.com if my memory is correct, though I'd not bet on it.
Perhaps a google search would turn it up.

I'll go dig up the one I used to use. It's called muddle, and comes with the mud I can't remember the name of at the moment, but give me some time, and I'll get it. It's written in plain C, and has triggers, and can handle multiple connections. Since it's free with source, adding a speech object to it for output *should* be possible. No clue how well it'll work, with the speech, but it should do the trick at least for starting out until something better comes along.

Hi folks,
This topic has come up a few times, but I'm tossing it out there again. Has anyone found a mud client for the Mac that works well with VoiceOver? I've been looking around and experimenting, but I've found nothing as of yet. Salvitar has potential, but the author didn't seem to want to give VO anything more than the generic accessibility lip service response to my inquiry about it. My coder for the mud I run suggested, Mud Walker, which
he uses, but it isn't really accessible either.

Thus, as an admin, I am really looking for a client that does more than, let's say, telnet. Getting Telnet to work with speech feedback would be a start, but the use of triggers and other events one can customize in, let's say, gmud or zmud, would be more useful. If you know of any that either don't work or partially work, I'd be even interested in that, as I am not
adverse to contacting authors directly.

Thanks
