I'd not think this is normal, but I have a similar problem, though  
not quite the same.  My problem is that after a while, time varies  
from a few hours to several days, spark will sometimes disable itself  
for no reason I can find.  It says it's enabled, but it won't run my  
hot-key assignments no matter what keys I use.  To fix this, I have  
to disable it first, then enable it again.  This fixes the problem,  
but it's mildly irritating that it happens.
The other thing that happens sometimes is that spark will crash, and  
I'll never know it until I try to use one of the hot-keys.  This is  
anoying too, but not much we can do about that one I guess.
