They just scroll through an audio file with Sound Studio.

Dane,
Could you tell me what the left and right arrow keys do and when do
you use them?
Thanks Dane

Right, well I haven't been able to get pgdn and pgup to work here,
only left and right, I'll give that another go.

In SF, you don't have to use markers. And you can scroll quicker
through sections by using he PGDWN and PGUP keys. You can also
cut & paste audio between windows etc. I haven't yet found a way
to do that in SS. But that doesn't mean you can't.

You use the arrow keys to sscroll through a file and hit the
space bar to hear where you are, when you reach the begining of
a portion you want to delete etc you set a start marker and
conversely you set an end marker when you find the end of the
portion you wish to work on or delete, users of Sound Forge have
been doing this sort of thing for years.
As I said I'd like to see enhancements made to scrolling because
its very slow with the keyboard but there's actually a good
point to this and that is you can make your selection very
accurate.
