Hi,
Don't know. The application said something about going to there home
page to locate a phone adapter and I didn't look any further than
downloading and launching the program.

What phone adaptor would I need? Would it connect by fire wire or
by u s b? Where would one get this adaptor? Maybe it would look
like a device I read about for Vonage, that would connect to one's
ethernet router.

Hi,
You'll need a phone adapter for it to work. I downloaded it and
could go no further than the register screen. After I said not
now, the next screen informed me that I had to have a telephone
adapter. Plugging in a landline didn't work.
