Folks, finally got around to playing with Feeder and I must say
its very friendly. Of course I have no real clue what the hell
I'm doing, but its quite accessible. The only issue I ran into
was when it wanted access to my keychain, I had to switch from
the Feeder window to another app and back then it seemed ok, but
it would indicate busy for a minute and sometimes I had to use
the chooser window option to locate the dialog asking for access
to the keychain. If I set it to always allow the problems went away.
One curious question however, I tried going to my test page and
believe me its really really basic, but http://homepage.mac.com/
n3byy/web/test.xml is the location, but if I try to go there with
Safari, it can't find the page. I wonder if there's a delay in
the time you post a file and the time it actually is accessible
to the general populous.
If anyone has tried this app out and has any comments, please let
me know. It really does appear to be quite friendly and I'm
probably just clueless at this point on what I'm doing. I'll have
to sit and do some rtfm, but out of the box I was curious how
things would go. Went nicely and so I think I'll drop the author
a note and let him know its a good accessible publishing tool and
continue to keep up the good work and keep accessibility in mind.
