There seems to be no way around this unless their's a trick I'm unaware of.
I think you could write a script to have iTunes do this for you. Feels like overkill though. Apple does that with its other Apps though, for example, iMovie has the option to save your work as a QuickTime movie. I think iPhoto will do the same with a photo collection. Both of those features work with up paying for QuickTime Pro.
