No, it's not all that expensive, but for $30, I'm real unhappy that you only get the current version, even if you buy it the day before a new version comes out. When a new version number (7.1 for example) comes out, you need to come up with another $30 to get the full version of the new release. Not exactly what I'd call customer oriented. This is really the only complaint I have with apple. I realize they have to make their money somewhere, and quicktime is one of those somewheres, but it strikes me as entirely too close to one of those windows screen reader practices for my tastes. That's why I've not given up the $30 to them myself. I'll stick with the basic version, and find other utilities (or write them once XTools becomes accessible enough (it's getting there) so I don't ave to keep turning out $30 upgrade fees.
